Logging Off

The system will terminate the user initiated logical session and present a login screen upon receipt of confirmation from the user that logoff is required.

The system will also either (1) return to normal operations upon receipt of no response to a confirmation question to continue the logoff process, or (2) provide the capability for the logoff process to be initiated by a multi-step user action.

A user initiated logical session will be automatically terminated due to user inactivity, after a configurable time of one to 1,440 minutes, in one-minute increments. The Login Timeout setting controls the time of user inactivity when a session lock will be initiated and can be found in the Manage > Settings > Master Configuration > Customer Options section.

Authorized personnel with the proper permission settings have the capability to enable and disable the automatic logoff feature.

When a user logical session is terminated by a logoff, the system will require the subsequent user to be re-authenticated before initiating the next logical session. The subsequent user will be presented with the Warning Banner and upon acceptance of the terms, the user login prompt will become available.

If a user closes the browser tab/window instead of using the Log Out function, the user’s credentials will expire after a configurable amount of time set by an administrator. By default, this is configured between 30-60 seconds. If the user navigates to the application after this time, they will need to enter their credentials again.

During a power failure, the system will terminate all interactive sessions. When the system is finished rebooting, then any attempt to access the server will result in an expired session.
